Description

A nationally recognized pediatric academic medical center in Central California is seeking a Medication Safety & Regulatory Compliance Pharmacist to lead and support system-wide medication safety and regulatory initiatives within a large, decentralized children’s hospital. This full-time, day-shift role partners closely with pharmacy leadership to evaluate medication-use processes, drive evidence-based safety improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, support policy and procedure development, and provide education across NICU, PICU, oncology, and other pediatric service lines. The environment is collaborative, progressive, and teaching-focused, utilizing Epic and Omnicell with PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents on site.

Qualified candidates will hold a PharmD and have a minimum of five years of hospital pharmacy experience, with strong preference given to those with medication safety training, regulatory compliance experience, or prior pharmacy leadership exposure. A California license is not required at the time of application, provided the candidate is willing and able to obtain licensure prior to start. Retail-only backgrounds are not considered unless combined with substantial hospital experience.

The community offers a low cost of living (by California standards) while remaining centrally located near a major metro area, with easy access to national parks, mountains, and coastal destinations. Residents enjoy strong school districts, outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a balanced lifestyle that blends professional opportunity with family-friendly living.
